Wella Color Charm cream developer at 20 volume in the 32 oz salon bottle, cased twelve. 20 volume is the workhorse — one to two levels of lift and the strength most permanent grey-coverage formulas are mixed at, which is why it outsells 10, 30 and 40 combined. Wella specifies a cream base for a controlled 1:2 mix that stays where it is applied. A salon burning through colour will reorder this faster than any tint in the book, so it is worth putting on a standing order rather than a per-call quote.
